Safari with Marco Polo Kenya Marco was amazing in dealing with us pre safari, service was outstanding, Bonnie our safari guide was superb. They made our trip which had a few hick ups, not of their doing, not upset our experience of the safari which was amazing, we saw so much game because of Bonnie's knowledge.

We did an 8 day safari going through Masi Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo East. We were picked up from Nairobi airport and then started the Safari, ending on the coast at Diani Beach where we spend a few nights before flying back to Nairobi.
We booked with Marco via their website and confirmed all the details over email and whatsapp. Marco was very helpful and answered all our questions (we also requested a cycle trip at Hells Gate which Marco arranged for us). We paid a 50% deposit by bank transfer and the balance was paid to the driver at the start of the safari in USD cash. The reason for the cash payment is because it is needed to pay the park and lodge fees (this is normal practice).
The safari itself was amazing, we travelled and did the game drives in a large jeep where the roof can be risen allowing you to stand up and get a 360 view of all the animals around you. We saw the big five and many many more animals.
Our driver was called Michael and was wonderful. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals, parks and landscapes. He is also well connected with the other game drivers and they work together to find the animals so you have the best chance of seeing them. We visited 5 different parks which meant a lot of different terrains and weather conditions, Michael knew all the parks well (which is not very common as most drivers only go to 1 or 2 parks). He is also a skilled driver in terms of managing the different weather conditions so we always felt very safe.
The accommodation Marco arranged was all very nice and luxurious (mainly tented camps and lodges), we felt very spoilt!
We went go to Diani Beach Marco also helped us with arranging a snorkeling trip.
I cannot recommend Marco and Michael enough, our safari trip was perfectly organised and such an amazing experience.

Fantastic journey and experiance The views were amazing! We saw 4 big animal: lion, elephant, giraffe and hipo. Driver Amos is very good searcher animals. He noticed animals in the smallest nooks. It wsa fantastic journey!

Great safari with knowledgable guide This was originally a booking to travel in 2020 and had to be postponed due to Covid. Rising cost of airfares and airline cancellations meant I had to make several changes. Marco Polo were very prompt in responding and flexible which was so helpful. The safari itself was amazing. We saw elephants, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, monkeys, lions, buffalo, crocodiles, warthogs and more. Our guide was informative with 20 years of experience under his belt. Both accommodations were good, clean, offered good food and viewing areas for the wildlife. We stayed at Sentrim Tsavo Camp and Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Kilaguni was definitely my favourite out of the 2. We had the best view at breakfast watching the animals. It was unforgettable! The jeep was in good condition and I wouldn't hesitate to book with Marco Polo again. We enjoyed Tsavo East and West this time. I'd love to go back and see Maasai Mara next time. an overall great 3 days safari with family in Tsavo East and Taita Hills, a clear recommendation I wanted to book a 3-days safari with a local company, so based on reviews I decided to contact Marco. We got in touch via email+WhatsApp, which was quick and effective. The offer was good, we paid a deposit (advantage is that the company has a euro account in Belgium). The overall organisation was very good, since there was 7 of us (2 elderly, 3 children and two adults), we booked two cars. We had a really good time, everything was organised on a high level, our guides and drivers Michael and Abdul were kind, attentive, friendly and well organised. Overall a very good experience and I would certainly book again with Marco Polo tours.
