2 days in Tsavo East with all the beautiful small and big friends! I’ve just returned from my second safari with Marco Polo Safaris, and once again it was a truly memorable experience. This time I booked a 2-day safari to Tsavo East, and I traveled alone, which turned out to be the best decision. Going solo meant I could fully focus on the animals I’m most excited about, take my time, and enjoy every moment without rushing.

My guide, Mike, was outstanding. He’s calm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what impressed me most is his eye for wildlife. He notices movement and details in the landscape that most people would completely miss. From the very beginning, it felt like I was with someone who genuinely loves what he does.

The safari kicked off with a spotted owl, and from that moment birds became the highlight of the trip. We spotted an amazing variety: big and small birds, plus many different birds of prey. If you’re a bird lover (or even if you think you aren’t), this experience might convert you.

My absolute favorite memory was seeing mongooses jumping around on a termite mound — it was one of those simple, joyful wildlife moments you don’t forget. And it reminded me of something important: safari isn’t only about ticking off the Big Five. It’s about admiring every creature, from the smallest animals to the iconic ones, and taking in the stunning landscapes that make the whole experience feel special.

A big thank to Marco, as always, who helped me plan the safari ahead of time. The communication was smooth, the advice was helpful, and the patience and support made everything stress-free. And Mike, thank you for the laughs, the great company, and all the incredible sightings (even outside the park!). I’d absolutely recommend Marco Polo Safaris and would happily book again.

We used Marco Polo tours for our Safari and a boat trip to see the dolphins. Both tours were well organised with fair prices . We had a brilliant stay on Safari with great accommodation and facilities and an excellent day at sea for the dolphin tour. Our drivers on all trips were knowledgeable, friendly and reliable. Snorkeling with Marco Polo I had an amazing experience with Marco Polo Safari during a snorkeling trip to the coral reef. The company stood out for their punctuality and reliability from start to finish. Their professional staff made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.

Best experience ever We had a tailor made trip to Lake Naivasha and Massi Mara followed by a week at Diani Beach We were met from the airport and every step of the way had an escort and private vehicle with Michael our driver who was lovely. The lodges we stayed in organised by Marco Polo were exceptional. Marco was very patient whilst we settled on a full itinerary and probably sent about 50 emails until we had it exactly as we wanted and a perfect holiday. Can highly recommend.

5stars are well deserved for this incredible safari operator, who welcomed us and made us realize our kids' dream!! We traveled 6 days thoughout the national parks with the driver Bonnie, which made everything absolutely perfect (and yet easier considering I could not see a lion in the middle of the grass 😍). We will be back!

Thank you for this impressive adventure. We were on safari for 3 days - Tsavo East and Salt Lick. We weren't promised too much. An unforgettable experience, seeing the animals so close, marveling at the landscape and enjoying incredible moments of happiness. Thank you Marco! Of course this would never have been possible without our guide Amos. He looked after us at all times, read tracks, took us to the most beautiful places and ensured our safety. A special time from start to finish. Early in the morning he drove with us into the sunrise to greet the day together with the animals and in the evening he brought us back to the lodge/stilt houses as the sun set. It was a fascinating and crazy experience. We had the best guide!!! We can only recommend him.
