Bird watching at the Rift Valley lakes combined with wildlife Safaris in the Maasai Mara, Aberdares, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli National Park. Cycling at Hell´s Gate.

Day 1: Pick up from your hotel at 08:00 - Past through the industrial city of Thika and intensively farmed farms in central Kenya. Lunch at Out Span Hotel Nyeri before transfer to Treetops Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Treetops Hotel.
The Aberdares lie at an altitude of 2134 to 4268 meters. It is the home of the first tree hotel in Africa and houses important memories of world history. In 1952 Queen Elizabeth II learned of the death of her father, King George II, and of her British throne while staying as a guest at Treetops Lodge.

Day 2: Aberdares - Lake Nakuru
Departure from the lodge directly after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch at a lodge followed by a full afternoon Kenya Safari with game drives in the park known for its numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Flamingo Hill Camp.
Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos and over 400 bird species. The lake itself is a soda lake at the bottom of the Rift Valley. The sight of sometimes millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From afar the lake appears pinkish red. The lake also has a reputation as an important retreat for endangered species, especially the Rothschild giraffe and the black and white Nashhörner. It is also home to lions, waterbucks, buffalos and baboons.

Hell´s gate National Park
A walk in the wild nature.
The Hell´s gate National Park is located south of Lake Naivasha and northwest of Nairobi. The stunning park is known for its high natural rock towers, cliffs, flat plains and eroded gorges.
Olkaria and Hobley are two extinct volcanoes in the park. The Hell´s gate National Park is lined by red cliffs and two volcanic peaks; the "Fischer' Tower" and the "Central Tower". The "Central Tower" is a smaller gorge that stretches south, descending with a path to the hot springs.
It has abundant wildlife such as buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, giraffe, baboon, the Thomson 'Gazelle, the rare Chandler mountain reedbuck, lion, leopard and cheetah. Over 100 bird species have been registered, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, Augurbussards and sailors. The cliffs once housed the now almost extinct population of the lammergeyer or bearded vulture, which used these cliffs to drop bones from height, breaking them to reach the marrow of bones. The cliffs are home to a shy antelope, a cliff diver who is adapted to live on the rocks.

Main attractions:
Augurbussard game viewing, hiking and cycling, nesting birds of prey on cliffs, spectacular gorge walks, hot springs.
The Olkaria Geothermal Station, the Mervyn Carnelley Bird of Prey Observation Platform, a platform and hiding place especially for people who want to observe and photograph birds of prey at close range.
"Fischer Tower" and the "Central Tower".

Day 5: Maasai Marai
Full day Kenya Safari in the Maasai Mara with game drives in search of the "Big Five". An optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US $ 450 per person.
The Mara is home to wildlife in such abundance that it is hard to believe that there are over 450 species of animals.
Lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, gnus, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalos, leopards, many species of antelopes and elephants are easy to spot.
In the Maasai Mara, perhaps the most spectacular event takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pastures.
On their heels are the savannah predators, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.
